Meet the Monterey Bay Classic European Motorcycle Club

Thank you for your interest in the Monterey Bay Classic European Motorcycle Club. Our club, a non-profit organization founded in 1983, has been promoting the enjoyment and preservation of European Motorcycles to enthusiasts in the surrounding Monterey Bay area from as far south as Big Sur to the Santa Cruz mountains in the north. Our membership represents a wide variety of interests, occupations and machinery. Among our members it might be safe to say that we cover all makes of European Motorcycles from A to Z. However, ownership of a European motorcycle is not a prerequisite for joining our club. Enthusiasm and interest is.

Once a month meetings are held the last Wednesday of the month at the Marina Round Table Pizza at 7:30 pm. We have a ride-to-lunch the Sunday following the meeting if a more formal ride isn't planned. Rides in the past have gone to Parkfield for a shake, Port Costa for brunch, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium for a back of the scenes tour. We plan for two campouts a year, in the spring and fall. A monthly newsletter, Moto Monterey, keeps club members in touch. We also have social events, such as Christmas and Fourth of July parties.

MBCEMC is a regional chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America and as such has access to their resources, including an excellent monthly newsletter, research library and any events they may sponsor around the country.

Our premier event is the Rally of European Motorcycles, held every spring. Since it first began, our Rally has grown to become one of the favorites of European motorcycle owners. This is in part due to our inclusion of all makes of machines, which makes ours a very colorful and varied event.

We look forward to your membership and participation in our club. In the words of one of our founders, "Expect Great Things!"
