Taking over from the popular 996 GT2 in 2007 came the introduction of the Porsche 997 GT2. At the time it was the fastest Porsche road car ever built and would go up against the likes of the Ferrari 430 Scuderia.
The engine was a 3.6 liter flat-6 and was highly tuned to give a power output of 523 horsepower. Coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission the new GT2 was thrilling drivers with a 0-60 mph sprint of 3.3 seconds and could reach a top speed of over 200 mph.
Subtle air intakes and LED running lights are prominent on the front bumper, and you would be forgiven at first glance to fully distinguish this high-performance Porsche. But when you look at the sides, you notice the flared air intakes, huge rear wheel wells, and prominent rear spoiler. These features tell your brain that this GT supercar is something special.
The minute you start driving the GT2, it comes alive. Lucky owners often report that the GT2 is really fast and really fun.
